Welcome to the Sunsun Eclipse Ficfest. Before the sun and the moon meet on 8 April 2024 to create a harmony, we will make our own embodiments of sun and moon meet as well! As is well known, Sunsun represent the best of dichotomies that come together to love each other. This ficfest aims to emphasize on thatThe theme of the Ficfest is "Dichotomies" and the eclipse of those dichotomies. As per the solar eclipse of 8 April 2024, the ficfest would run for a week from 1-7 April, 2024. All works will be added to an AO3 collection and a carrd by 8 April, 2024.

1. There are prompts/sub-themes provided for everyday in both the SFW and NSFW categories. You can choose one out of either category, or you can mix both the prompts for that day to write your story2. It's not necessary to write only for a day. You may like two prompts. Or you might get more time to write. This is why we decided all authors are free to write for as many of the days as they want to. You can also write your SFW and NSFW stories separately for the same day3. For the free day, you still need to stick to the overarching theme of “dichotomy”. But here, you can mix the given prompts or create your own. It’s not necessary to create prompts too. But Sunsun’s dichotomy should show up in your work to keep in line with the theme3. The fics can be in these forms: On AO3, it can be oneshot or multi-chaptered. On Twitter, it can be a mini-fic, drabble, fic thread or social media AU. Canon compliant, canon divergent and alternate universe- all is allowed4. There is no word limit5. The works can be written in any language5. If you're posting on AO3, please add it to the Sunsun Eclipse collection. To do so, type “Sunsun-underscore-Eclipse-underscore-2024” in the Collections/Challenges box (carrd changes underscores to italics. You don’t have to type the word underscore). In the Additional Tags section, it’s encouraged to add “Sunsun Eclipse Ficfest 2024” (even if the tag isn’t prompted, that’s okay. You can still add it)Additionally, if you're posting the link of your fic on your twitter, please add the hashtag #SUNSUNECLIPSE and tag our account (@2suneclipse) under your post so we can retweet it6.
